Crochet Hook: 3.75 mm/4 hook
Yarn Weight(4) Aran
Colours: Green and Tan
Slst= Slip stictch sc=single crochet dc=double crochet hdc=half double crochet
- Tan colour: Chain 110
- Round 1: slst in 2nd chain from hook and next 2 chains, sc in next 11, hdc in nxt 85, dc in nxt 10 chains, ch 1, sl st twice INTO the post of the last dc just made to “move” across it to the other side of the beginning chain, (**We will now work in the remaining unworked loops of the beginning chain up the opposite side**) sl st into the 1st remaining loop of the beginning chain and ch 1, sc in the same loop and the nxt 93 loops, sl st in the last 14 loops then tie off light tan.
- Round 2 (Partial): with right side facing, join green with a sl st in the BACK LOOP ONLY of the 1st slst made on round 1 (the one made in the 2nd chain from the hook), slst in each back loop only down this one side of the palm, tie off green.
- Weave in ends. Block the palm so it does not curl - wet the finished palm. Then, squeeze it dry (do not wring or twist). Pin it out in shape using non rusting pins and a foam mat or whatever you have!
- Using the graphic above, fold the palm into the cross and using a small piece of light tan yarn, secure it with a few stitches through all the layers in the centre of the cross.
